Maps of Interconnections, 2024

is an expansive multimedia collage counter map. The map represents not a physical space but rather our relationships with one another, the land, our bodies, the urban and the material. The map is made up of provisional materials including, sketchbook paper, blue pen, acetate, found textiles, map pins and scrap paper. The provisional nature of the materials speaks to the impermanence of our natural and physical world, ever-changing and adapting. The installation of Maps of Interconnections is ten feet wide by 8 feet tall, carefully connected and mounted on a white wall. The impermanent nature of this work lends itself to be expanded upon and installed in endless iterations.
